Overview
The four pillars of digital currency
Stablecoins, tokenized deposits, tokenized funds, and CBDCs. Rivier covers all four — permissionless where Rivier owns the rail, partner-gated where licensed institutions do. Same dashboard. Same audit trail.
Stablecoins
Reserve-backed bearer instruments — USDC, USDT, RIVR (pre-launch).
Permissionless rail. Rivier owns the routing — the bridge router quotes every viable path and picks the safest by output ratio + per-provider risk bias. RIVR is Rivier's own native settlement unit (1 = $1) for agentic micropayment + ProgrammableTransfer batching.
Rails
Tokenized deposits
Bank-issued commercial-bank money on-chain.
Partner rail. The issuing bank gates onboarding via a corporate / institutional-treasury relationship. Rivier surfaces availability and deeplinks to bank-direct onboarding — we never see KYC documents.
Rails
Tokenized funds
NAV-based investment vehicles (money-market, treasury, credit).
Partner rail. KYC + accreditation gated by the issuer (Securitize, Hashnote, Ondo, Maple). The bridge router refuses to quote permissioned funds — direct-link onboarding instead so users don't waste gas on a contract revert.
Rails
CBDCs & wholesale corridors
Sovereign digital money + interbank rails.
Partner rail. Central-bank-licensed PSP relationships gate access. CBDCs are commercial-bank money's counterpart — never tradable assets. Corridors connect tokenized deposits + CBDCs across borders.
Rails
Two-rail architecture
Direct rail. Stablecoin + RIVR settlement runs through Rivier's own permissionless multi-bridge router. No intermediary — Rivier owns the routing decision and the security posture.
Partner rail. Tokenized deposits, tokenized funds, and CBDCs are permissioned at the contract or licensing layer. Rivier never gates access — the bank, fund issuer, or central-bank-licensed PSP does. We surface availability, primary sources, and onboarding deeplinks so an institutional treasury can plan a multi-rail posture in one view.
